10:52, Toyota dealers are known for their poor service. Just check other comments on this site, there are comments of people who had engine failures under warranty and Toyota would not repair because all of the services were not done by them or so on and so on.

I have a 2000 Buick LeSabre and the other day my 6th window quit. I will prop it up myself because I certainly won't give Buick any more money. The car only has 42,000 miles on it!

I'm on the third window failure with my 02 Le Sabre since I purchased new with two failures within one month. Not sure it does any good to file complaints and not deemed a "safety problem." Very frustrating! Can't figure out why Buick does not deal with this!

It would mean GM spending money they can't afford to spend, that's why.

My 2000 Buick LeSabre Limited, which just turned 50000 miles, has had the passenger side rear window fail, and the driver's side is sluggish, which I'm afraid to use, and Buick won't admit its regulators are junk?

When our fourth window fell yesterday on a 2002 Buick, I knew something was going on so I began searching and found this website. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Dozens and dozens have already posted the same problem with no telling how many more people experiencing the same thing that just haven't posted on this site. Reading everyone's story has really got me fuming. I urge everyone out there to take just a couple minutes to write some letters and make some phone calls. Judging by the testimonials of others, Buick will not do anything about their defective pieces, but perhaps if they receive enough bad press they'll be forced to take action. I know our local news station does a piece called "On Your Side" where they investigate claims of wrongdoings to consumers. You better believe I'll be giving them a call and hopefully they'll take our story and broadcast it to a couple hundred thousand people. There is power in numbers.

2003 Buick Century window problems...

76k miles, owned for 35k miles. Just today, broken rear drivers side window. Love the 25-27 mpg, and understand (not like) the problem with plastic parts disintegrating in the Florida heat.

What I DON'T care for is the lack of free on-line support. With the current technology, we ought to be able to access any and all current repair manuals online, and for free! In fact, many other manufacturers do it, recognizing that a) stuff breaks, b) some of us love/need to self repair and c) when it's fixed, we're a happy camper.

In my case, I took the window apart, found why it doesn't go uppie-downie, and only need to know where the cables attach to the upper part of the regulator. The rest I can manage myself. I've had no luck finding that info online. What I do find are either pages of complaints, or folks trying to make a buck providing 'answers' to our questions. So, Don't complain to gm when stuff breaks... they obviously don't have a solution... just ask them to put their repair manuals online so at least we have a fighting chance to keep our cars running, and maybe a few of us MIGHT buy another one from them someday.

In April 2006 I purchased a 2000 Buick Le Sabre. The only repair ever done on it was replacing the window regulator on the passenger side front window.

I thought that this was strange as the owner was a single man and rarely used the power windows at all.

Since then I have replaced both rear regulators, and the left front regulators.

Currently the right, front and rear, regulators do not work and the left front is popping.

This makes 7 regulators on one car which now has 75,000 miles on it. The worst part is we never use the windows because we are afraid they will break.

I am disabled and and on Social Security and cannot afford to fix defective regulators all the time. GM and Buick were of no help at all. They said that this was my problem.

I read another posting and I too, am going to call the local TV Station and see what they can do.

I love the Buick but I also love to be able to roll the windows down on occasion.

I had the same problem with the windows, but only one so far. My issue right now is with my a/c - heater. From the time I bought it this winter, it just blows really hot air, no matter the temp setting, except on the mid setting. Also, my A/C doesn't work. I'm wondering if they are related? At first, I assumed the A/C didn't work because it needed repair or there was a leak. Now I wonder if it's related to the temperature issue. Anybody else have this problem?

Thanks, David.

I own a 2002 Buick Regal GS I ordered directly from the factory and took delivery in October 2001. The car now has 99,000 miles on it. Over the past six and one half years, every one of the power window regulators has failed, and I have had to replace all four of them at $370 a pop. It's unconscionable that Buick would refuse to take responsibility for this. I will certainly be looking at Ford, Chrysler, or Toyota for my next car.

I have a 2001 LeSabre and I only use the driver's window. That's on a rare occasion. My passenger back window fell while I was driving down the road at about 55mph. The driver's back window dropped while the car was soaped up sitting in my drive. My neighbor had to get in and hold it up so I could rinse it off. I took off the door panels and screwed 2 X 4s in to hold the windows in place. They've been there for the last 15 - 20 K miles. I'm not paying for parts to fix things I never use, but I also won't ever buy from a company that has an obvious problem and won't address it. I'm 46 years old and have a lot of car buying in my future. Buick has narrowed my options. Oh, and I've been sure to tell anyone asking about the car just what I think.

Okay. Another window regulator went on me this weekend. I took your advice, and took the broken regulator out and screwed in a 2x4 to replace it to keep the window up. Don't use the back windows anyway, so no harm and I save myself a boatload of money. Should've done that for the other side of the back doors. Great idea and works great. Thanks.

The car is great except for the windows. We bought our 2002 in 2002 and have had to put 2x4's in both back windows several years ago. But, if the front go out that will cost. With so many problems with their windows, why hasn't Buick given some sort of help for their mistake in engineering. I don't think I'll go with Buick again because this is such a big problem for them not to care about fixing.

I keep seeing all these window issues for Buick and Pontiac, and it got me to wondering if these issues are somehow related to cold weather. I live in the sunbelt, and neither I, nor any of our friends had even heard of this problem until I started reading about it on the Grand Am site (we own a 2001 Grand Am).

Our family has a LaSabre with over 270,000 miles and it has never had any window problems. Our Pontiac has 70,000+ and it has never had any window issues (or any other problems).

The only 2 instances I know of with the Grand AM window clips is one where a child slammed the door really hard, and another where an angry spouse slammed the door during an argument.

I'm curious about the possibility of cold weather causing these problems. Are you guys having the problems from northern states? It does sound like something GM should fix.
