2000 Buick LeSabre Limited review from North America
"I like this car, but too expensive to fix problems which shouldn't have happened in the first place"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Both rear electric windows quit working within a month.
General comments?
I called Buick about this problem. They said they hadn't had many complaints so a recall hasn't' been considered. Customer service said the car was just out of warranty so with nothing to loose, I took the window track out of the car.
The window is pulled up or down with a stranded steel cable which is secured to the window bracket by a hex piece crimped to the cable and held in place by a piece of molded plastic. Plastic breaks and cable comes out. Trouble compounded by the pulley which is to give and take cable at the same time, but ends up only taking. Excess ruins the pulley and kinks the cable. Buick no help though very polite. Ha! Very poor design.
