1987 Buick LeSabre Limited review from North America
"Great car. Comfy, fast, reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear brakes needed replacing right away (50 bucks CDN for shoes, wheel cylinders, brake fluid and cleaner)
General comments?
I bought this car for $200 Canadian as an in-between car when my S10's clutch packed it in. Now, if it wasn't for 1.18/L gas prices, I'd never sell it.
Starts every single time (I work for a newspaper and a reliable car is a MUST, this car has not let me down)
I moved with this car to a town 300kms away, made the trip numerous times without a hiccup... feels VERY solid at 160+ km/h.
Not bad gas mileage on the hwy, but definitely nothing to envy in town.
If gas was still below, say, 90 cents/L I'd keep this car. The A/C still blows cold, the body is in great shape, power windows/locks work, engine is smooth and quiet, no leaks, tranny shifts smooth, have no complaints whatsoever besides the gas mileage that's expected of a 3.8L V6.
