1993 Buick Park Avenue Sedan review from North America
"Classic luxury with performance to spare"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Before I owned the car the air conditioning condenser failed and was replaced by the dealer.
Since I owned the car the right front power door lock failed and had to be replaced. The alternator went at about 47,000 miles. There was also a recurring problem with the battery cables becoming dirty and the car would start. Cleaning the contacts on the cables and battery solved it.
Other little things were the vinyl on the right side B-pillar cover began to peel off and had to be re glued. The right side turn signal bulb blew and the batteries for the keyless entry remote had to be replaced, after 8 years though.
General comments?
This car is a sleeper. It can really move when it has to. I'd Getting a little tire noise is no problem. I can only imagine how quick the Ultra is. When it is pushed you get a little torque steer though. The car runs and shifts as smooth as silk. The ride is also very comfortable. It is great on long trips because of the leg room and supportive seats. The only complaint is that on the passenger's side up front there is an odd lump in the floor that prevents you from stretching your legs all the way, but I'm being picky.
The car is very fuel efficient and reliable. The Buick paint job is holding up great as is the interior. It is a very good quality car.
