1985 Buick Park Avenue review from North America
"This is truly a classic style"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Computer chip - still under warranty went at 60,000 miles.
A/c compressor went twice at 80,000 miles.
General comments?
This was my father's car. He bought it new and it was given to me in 1999 three years after he died in 1996. I had stored the car at Mom's house, but one day she came barrelling into the driveway at a hgh rate of speed with her own car and she smashed into it. The car was a total and had to go to salvage. The car was a beauty. It was all Navy blue with every option imaginable for 1985. It has a smart classy European look, kind of boxy. I would have kept this forever because it would have made a nice classic to drive around in. But I guess it wasn't meant to be. It got excellent gas mileage from what I remember and was relatively easy to work on. I would definitely buy a Buick with the 3.8 v-6 engine.
