1988 Buick Park Avenue review from North America
"ALWAYS dependable and economical"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Door gaskets going bad resulting in road noise.
Front suspension weak - needs to be replaced.
Power window motor failed - driver's door.
Power door lock motor failed - driver's door.
General comments?
The car has been a winner from day one. It is pleasant to drive, comfortable for long trips. Gas mileage around town averages 16 mpg; however, on the road, with AC and 75 mph, average gas mileage is 34 mpg. The engine is strong and reliable. Regular maintenance primarily only costs. Always has power when needed - such as when accelerating onto the freeway. We've driven it in all kinds of road conditions - from the heat of the desert (where we live) to cold, icy and snowy - it always performs well and with good traction.
