1984 Buick Regal Limited review from North America
"Over all, I find this 4 door Buick Limited a excellant family vehicle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This is a 4 door sedan. It has been in the family since new. It is 24 years old and many things had given out over the years.
Fuel pump failure 57,000 kilometers.
Timing chain replacement 225,000 kilometers.
Rocher arm #3 cylinder fell of. 200,000 kilometers.
The electronic board failure that operates door chimes, electic truck opener, lighter etc. Can't find replacement.
Frame rusting out passenger side under trunk.
Electric motor for rear door window still working, but making noise.
General comments?
This has been a good family vehicle. It has some problems, but regular maintenance will resolve most of the problems.
This vehicle starts very well in very cold weather.
This vehicle has awesome heat in the winter.
Put 50 to 50 pounds of weight in the trunk and it handles like a dream on all types of roads.
I have over 300,000 kilometers on the orginal engine and drive train. The transmission works very good. The engine does not burn any oil and I can still lay rubber on the pavement.
