1991 Buick Regal GS review from North America
"My favorite car I've ever owned, a willing partner, ready for the road"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Not many problems considering the high mileage.
I've replaced the brakes 3 times, but with none of the typical flaws referenced for this car.
2 fuel pumps.
The rear suspension leaf spring gave out due to all the luggage & sales samples, so I had it replaced.
2 A/C compressors & 2 dryers.
A radiator.
2 cooling fans motors.
An A/C fan.
A window motor & the antenna motor. 3 starters.
This along with regular stuff: tires, struts etc...
This is now a spare car, our dating car, etc... If it sits for a month the exhaust will smoke slightly for about a mile. This car has had very regular maintenance, and has been all over the country with me.
General comments?
The velour upholstery is still in great shape, and after 300,000 miles with me the bucket seat still fits my bucket.
This car will still Rock-n-Roll!
Even though much of the factory paint is gone, the wife still likes to take it for a spin sometimes. Says it handles so much better than her Olds.
Even though it is a 1991, it still looks like the current body types.
