1987 Buick Regal Grand National review from North America
"The car that was born 20 years to late"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The air accumulator for the ABS brakes was replaced.
Reverse lights went out.
Fuel injection acted up for a bit, but this was my fault. I ran the car to below the "E" line and the gunk on the bottom of the gas tank got sucked up into the lines.
ABS brake pump will need replacing.
Replaced 2 front tires due to normal wear and tear.
General comments?
Darth Vader, you car awaits! Truly "bad-to-the-bone". Most likely the last true American muscle car. A brilliant combination of modern technology and past toughness combine into creating a very mean, sleek and respected vehicle.
Turns heads everywhere it goes. Some people like to talk smack about the car claiming they could beat it. Of course, when all is said and done and it's time to put up or shut-up, the only sight visible to them is my rear GN emblem.
