1991 Buick Regal Limited Coupe review from North America
"Approaching luxury with high performance and comfort combined"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing so far, but have only had the car three weeks. Everything is working on car as new. All the options and buttons are functioning as new.
General comments?
I could not believe how quick this car was when I first drove it. The 3800 fuel-injected V-6 motor has a fantastic reputation for good reason.
The handling is superb for a car of this size and type (semi-luxury), the ride is quiet and smooth.
Acceleration is like a rocket - when you need the power it is there.
The dual-climate controls are very nice, as is the stereo in the steering wheel controls option.
The interior is comfortable with ample space (even in rear) and cavernous trunk. Leather seats are a nice touch and the AC blows cold as a new car would.
Interior lights provide separate dual-reading for driver and passenger, vanity lights with mirror in visor, auto dash lights on and 30 sec. delay off upon entrance and exiting, lighted key locks on doors help with keys, tilt, cruise, intermittent wipers, six-way power driver's seat, premium sound system w/cassette, power antenna, four-way disc brakes (that so far seem problem free), aluminum alloy wheels (15") with new Michelins all around, lighted engine and trunk compartments, remote-trunk release, power locks, power doors, dual four-way power mirrors, fog lights...
Blows away my previous car, a BMW 325 in performance and options (well I guess the Beemer could out-handle it on curvy roads, but they'd have to be dry). I can't wait to try out the FWD this winter in the snow since I haven't had a car with it in 15 years.
I have no complaints so far, the car is fantastic and you could hardly hope for more options except maybe air bags & ABS. I only paid $900 for this car and the paint after a good rub-out and wax has come back like new. No rust or major scratches.
The car is in beautiful condition and the coupe styling still turns heads after 12 years. I'm amazed that everything on it still works like new.
