1997 Buick Regal GS review from North America
"My next car will probably be another Buick when the wheels fall off this one.:)"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Minor oil leak when parked on inclines.
Air conditioning shot after about 5 hours straight or so on its MAX re-circ setting, probably my fault.
General comments?
This car is beautiful with the most comfortable seats available with four wheels underneath. I sat in every car at last year's auto show, and only an Infiniti and a Lexus could compare in the seating department. Room for rear passengers is limited, but the seat comfort compensates. All the controls are well laid out, my only complaint is that the climate control buttons aren't back-lit at night.
In the performance department this car just sings. The motor pulls past most vehicles with barely any throttle. The supercharger is a godsend with the high altitude here in Denver. The ride and handling are generally well composed with longer turns resulting in noticeable lean. The brakes can bring this car to a stop on a dime, and trust me, the ABS works wonders in the snow.
While the interior assembly quality was a little lacking, no major problems build-wise or mechanical have reared their ugly heads.
