2002 Buick Rendezvous CXL review from North America

Romote access clicker failed to work and the entire instrument cluster went dark. Dealer had to order a replacement instrument cluster and after a week it arrived and was put in.

Two weeks later, same problem. Back to the dealer for another instrument cluster.

Picked it up on Friday nite, and parked it in the driveway. When my wife went to use it the next day, the remote clicker again failed to work so she opened the door with the key and saw smoke. By the time she called 911 the car was fully engulfed in flames, damaging my garage door, driveway, and landscaping.

Car was totally destroyed, or it would have gone back to the dealer for the THIRD instrument cluster.

Car is roomy and has many nice features (heated seats, console that can swallow a laptop computer, many cupholders, headsup speed display, lots of storage.

But car also rides hard, rolls a lot on turns, is buffeted by passing cars and trucks, and has little power (215 HP on a heavy vehicle).

No outside access to rear hatchback. It can only be opened with the remote clicker or from inside the car, no keylock.

No lock on gas cap or remote gas access release, anyone can open it and siphon gas or dump in dirt.

Winshield wiper won't stay up so you need to hold them while cleaning the windshield.
