2009 Cadillac CTS review from North America
"This is my LAST Cadillac, this is my LAST GM automobile"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I was excited with the looks of the 2009 CTS. I was out specifically for the 6 speed manual transmission. I thought, like my Audi 5 speed, it would match in performance. That part has been a disappointment. More so the fact that after ten days, the transmission stuck in second gear and would not release. After two days in the Service Dept. I was informed that parts would take about a week. I was told to get a rental car and that GM would reimburse me.
Meanwhile, after a week in service, I was told that "hot spots" were found on the fly wheel and that the clutch assembly would have to be replaced. After 27 days in the shop I finally got my car back. It's now been a month I'm still fighting with GM for over $1,200 in rental car reimbursement. If I can ever get a hold of anyone in the Customer Service area of GM (I've called them daily for nearly a month and have spoken to a humane being 4 times) I'm told that "my request for reimbursement is under review". It's a nice looking car, but I find myself driving one of my others more and more.
