I insert the ignition key and nothing happens, but all gadgets work and a day later it starts like nothing has happened.
It's a beautiful comfortable car.
Hi when that key problem happened did you check the little chip on the ignition key? I had that happen on my 1991 Deville... When the little chip on the key is wore, the car senses it may be a theft entering so it disables the starter and fuel pump for a certain amount of time. Check it out!! Caddies RULE!!
I have a Cadillac Deville coupe with 130,000; best car I have had. Problems here and there; part of having an older car, love caddy.
My Cadillac Deville is still awesome. I have always provided the best in dealership annual maintenance. It has 234,000 miles and is still problem free - phenomenal ride, outstanding mpg, still showroom condition in that it never is ever dirty since I wipe it down every day. Plan to keep it forever. Will drive it for the third time across country next summer.
Same original untouched transmission. Replaced the original engine after 213,000 with a new Northstar and it is so quiet and smooth. Just thought it was the right thing to do with such high mileage.
My new STS Seville is driven once a month, otherwise it stays in the garage. Cadillac is the best of all luxury cars, and I have owned them all.
Auto theft mechanism needs to be restarted. Did you put a new stereo in your car, this will seriously cause problems...
