2002 Cadillac DeVille review from North America
"Poor quality. Mediocre comfort. Stay away!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car was bought band-new;
Passenger side power mirror stopped functioning about two month after I bought this car.
Trunk would open without any reason in the middle of the road. (Started in about 2-3 mo. after purchase)
Transmission died (having about 30K on it) and had to be re-hauled.
All 4 power windows (yes, all four of them) in a course of first three years would drop inside the door. Window regulators had to be replaced.
Brake and ABS warning lights are on without any apparent reason: took it to a local shop, they didn't find anything wrong, will have to take it to a dealership (meaning: a LOT of money to be paid) to fix this.
Passenger power seat would stop functioning, then start again -- on and off.
Many small cosmetic flaws - like cellular antenna came off and had to be re-glued etc. happening all the time, making me mad at myself being so dumb to fall for this car. : (
Again -- all of this had happened to a 4-year old car.
General comments?
This one is the poorest quality car I've ever had. Never, ever I will even come close to a Cadillac. Stay away if you want to save your nerves and money.
