1989 Cadillac Eldorado review from North America
"My first Caddy, and it saved my life"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Water pump went bad.
Drivers power window went bad.
Battery and alternator went bad.
Main oil crank seal went bad.
General comments?
This was my first Caddy. I was very
happy with it. I purchased an extended
warranty on it, so the repair costs did
not cost my anything.
This year was my favorite style for the
Eldorado/Seville. The 90 degree angles
everywhere, gave this Cadillac a sense of old times styling. The dash board is
great, everything is faced toward the
driver.
The best part about this Cadillac was that it saved my life. I was sitting at a red light when a 2001 Jeep Cherokee rear ended me at 56MPH! During the impact, I still had total control over my car, I went through the intersection pulled around and parked. Both me and my passenger were unharmed. However my car was totally destroyed. Every single Policemen and Firemen told me that if it hadn't been for that Cadillac, me and my passenger would have be dead or seriously injured.
