2001 Cadillac Seville STS review from North America
"When running they are a great highway car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This is what you need know that can save you money.
Knocking under front end. Sway bar bushing, cheap to replace, dealers start with the tie rod ends then jump to struts. Save your time and money check your bushings first.
Heavy knocking under hood. Check engine mounts,
change water pump belt at 100.000Kms, you can limp home if it does fail; just drive very slowly.
Steering knock means the lower bearing may be the problem.
General comments?
If you drive in snow and heavy rain, get a set of good soft rubber snow tires. You will thank me after you try this.
