1992 Chevrolet Beretta GT review from North America
"Decent at low mileage, but unreliable on long trips or above 100,000 miles"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Multiple thermostats.
All the hoses.
Radiator.
Heater fan/core.
Shocks are wearing badly.
CV joint is going.
Car has been really bad on brakes.
Temp gauge.
Speedometer.
Power locks.
Engine is now leaking oil.
Seat coverings are tearing.
General comments?
I am the third owner of this car, and when my sister drove it and the first few years I had the car it worked fine.
At about 80,000 miles I started having issues with it overheating and multiple thermostats later, the radiator finally went at about 100,000 miles.
In my opinion this makes a good kids car if the car has lower mileage. It is not reliable enough however to take on road trips etc, and it is not reliable above 100,000 miles. Since I have so many things going wrong on this car, I won't be driving it much longer.
