1991 Chevrolet Beretta GT review from North America
"Perfect car for single mom or new driver!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Ball joint last year.
Short in steering column (like that when I got it).
Starter went last month.
Seats worn when I got it.
Gas door rusted off when I got it.
Small amounts of body rust, mostly to bottom, again like that when I got it.
O-ring went in engine, causing oil leak.
General comments?
This is the best car I've had. My last car was a 99 Grand am, and the engine went in 2003.
The Beretta has never failed me or left me stranded. All of the problems I have had with it have been minor and althgether have cost me about $250.
Car handles well in snow and on rural highways.
Gets good gas mileage still. Proper spark plugs and wires as well as regular maint. keep it at about 16mpg. on rural highwqays.
I've put close to 100K miles on this thing in 2 years and she still runs great.
