2001 Chevrolet Blazer lt review from North America
"I love my little suv, but man it has issues!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well. this is in response to this issue:

I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer 4wd 2 door and I too have had the fuel gauge stop working at about 69,000 miles. Also I have had to change the front wheel bearings a total of 4 times twice on each side. The drivers side door is shot I have to lift it up to close it properly. I also have a lot of trouble restarting it after I park at the store, but if it sits for a day there is no trouble starting it. At idle the truck shakes like crazy, I have changed the ERG valve, had a complete tune up (plugs, wires, rotors the works) and have had the injectors cleaned, but still rocks like a boat on stormy waters. I really don't know what to do next, I really think I should just run it till it dies with all the cash I have already sunk into it, it seems like a lost cause.
Well the hard starting issue after the blazer has been run would be a bad fuel pressure regulator (could also be causing the poor idle quality) that tends to leak down causing a flooding problem there for causing a hard starting problem. the blazer will start easier if the gas pedal is depressed while cranking the engine... i know this due to the fact that I had to replace my injector assembly (the fuel pressure regulator is mounted to the side of the cpi unit) cpi unit=fuel injector assembly. I originally bought my blazer with from an individual in non-running condition. I already knew it needed a fuel pump... the owner did not and was ready to get rid of it. well I replaced the fuel pump and the blazer started right up and ran great. the previous owner did have the transmission rebuilt about 6,000 miles before I got it. anyway.. not long after I replaced the fuel pump, the fuel gauge would start taking a while to register the current level of fuel. then gradually it would start doing the jumping around mess and now it's a miracle if it works at all. I replaced the radiator as well due to a small crack, replaced the passenger side front wheel bearing and the rear brakes.
General comments?
Well... to sum it all up, I love my little blazer... it has power everything, heated seats, on-star, leather...man it runs and drives great. it has never let me down, but... how can these little suvs be so problematic? GM I hope you are reading this stuff. we consumers spend hard earned money for a quality automobile and get plagued with many issues. I fear that I may have to sell my little blazer while it is still in good shape and running well. : (
Heck I may just trade it in on a new trailblazer ss! hopefully they won't have as many problems!
