1992 Chevrolet Blazer LT Tahoe review from North America
"Great, very thirsty truck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I purchased the vehicle it needed new ball joints (covered by dealership, but costs approx. $100 at the most to fix).
Also the was an exhaust leak, which was quite an royal P.I.T.A. to get taken care of, but that was to fault of the repairman, which ended up costing about $400 in the end.
New seat covers because of leather starting to crack - $30.
When purchased, did a tune up - new plugs, wires, distributor cap, fuel filter, and oil change. About $50 or so.
Needed new front shocks and the engine mounts replaced around 110,000 miles.
Replaced the pretty awful sound system with all new speakers, sub, and receiver- $400.
Routine maintenance like oil changes, injector cleaners and such.
Rechargeable air filter - $15.
New tires - 108,00 miles.
General comments?
My only complaint is the gas mileage. I average about 12 mpg city and 17mpg all highway.
Great truck otherwise.
Very roomy and comfortable.
Great in snow, mud, dirt, gravel, dry road, anything.
Can take a beating too.
