What things have gone wrong with the car?
Where to begin... Okay the major problems. Idler and Pitman Arm replaced $767.74.
Replace Fuel pump $1149.84.
Replace alternator $415.73.
Remove and replace ball joint upper and lower and new parking shoes $657.80.
Tune Transmission (Dropped heavy into second gear when coming off the highway) $240.58.
Car would just decide not to start. Turned out to be a faulty distributor cap plus rewire and replace plugs $793.62.
Needed to completely replace the brakes $805.
Replaced the rear differential (housing and all) and a new battery $1491.60.
Grand total for 5 years, excluding the cost of towing and regular maintenance $6321.91.
General comments?
Probably the worst vehicle ever made. My driver side door is falling off, the signal lights are constantly clicking, it still drops into second gear hard when coming off the highway, it sucks on gas, various pieces of the plastic molding have fallen off. Whatever. Don't ever buy a Blazer.
