1997 Chevrolet Blazer LS review from North America
"It must have been put together on a Sunday night on third shift in Detroit"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I knew I was in for it when after the first snowfall, three months after purchase. I pushed the 4WD button on the dash and it broke. I didn't know if I was in 2 or 4WD.
Windshield motor went soon after.
The front end looked like it was off-center. I think it was a widespread problem with this model.
Gas gage registered 1/2-3/4 full after two years, no matter how much gas was in it.
Rear wiper washer leaked in the back of the vehicle.
The washer fluid tank leaked since day one.
Replaced brakes after the first year.
Finally had to buy lifetime warranty brakes after about three sets.
Belts squeaked and broke at random times.
All this and more with less than 50000 miles on it. It is the biggest lemon I have ever owned. Couldn't pay someone to take it off my hands or it would be long gone by now.
I have bought parts and labor enough to buy myself two new vehicles in the last ten years.
Transmission jumps, air conditioner goes out every summer.
The heater never did work right. Had to get that replaced.
