1991 Chevrolet Blazer review from North America
"Powerful, reliable, and a great tool for the sports enthusiast"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fan belt snapped. (-22degrees F)
Water pump replaced.
General comments?
What a great truck! It starts every time and has never left me stranded.
The truck has seen hundreds of miles on dirt and sand. The 4x4 is always able to get out of the worst mud hole or sand bed. Pull the 4x4 lever into Low and get ready to climb some extremely steep roads.
I ski about 50 days per year. The truck has gone through some incredibly harsh weather. It starts the first time, every time, even when the temperature is negative 22 degrees F. Navigating through 18" of powder is handled with ease.
The headlights are very poor for off highway use, so I installed some Hella 500 Driving Lights. I mounted them on the bumper and their power is phenomenal.
The heater is less than adequate. For cold weather operation an additional back seat heater should be installed to keep rear passengers from complaining.
