1984 Chevrolet Blazer S10 review from North America
"Cheapest SUV 4x4 around"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The starter had to be replaced within 2 months of buying this car. It had a problem with getting hot and then not starting again. It left us stranded on a mountain at night.
The radiator leaks.
The motor pan leaked until I tightened the oil pan gasket bolts.
Tilt steering is loose and sloppy.
General comments?
It is not a serious 4x4 truck. It is a 4x4 for the occasional snowfall, or fishing truck. The fuel mileage is not very good. 17MPG approximately. The 2.8 liter motor is designed bad in my opinion. Not much power, but same fuel mileage as a fuel injected full size blazer. It has been reliable to a point. Not good as a commuter vehicle.
