You refer to your Blazer as a "lemon" but based on the repairs that you have performed the car seems average, but your driving style is suspect. Four ball joints, two replaced twice? Transmission replaced at 85k? Steering linkage?!? Those sound like driver induced failures to me. Outside of the ball joints, trans and steering linkage it sounds as if your truck has been pretty good, for 85 thousand miles. Oh, my 1998 S-10, identical to your Blazer in 93% of its parts has 117k, its original trans, ball joints, steering linkage and front brake rotors. I treat it well. Treat your vehicles well and they potentially can last a lifetime, you should take better care of yours.
