1998 Chevrolet Blazer review from North America
"Chevrolet need to try harder to compete with the foreign cars in my opinion"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1. Windshield wiper motor went out at 20,000 miles.
2. Gasoline indicator showed 1/2 full, car had no gas. It stopped suddenly, no warning.
3. Brake lights went out, not from fuse.
4. Tailgate latch wouldn't close.
5. Driver and passenger side seat levers broke 3 times each. Dealer said wouldn't pay for any further replacements.
6. Gas pedal makes rubbing sound, dealer mechanic can't figure out.
General comments?
Thank God I bought an extended warranty, in spite of my husband's protests!
This is a very comfortable car for the driver and passenger. It does have a smooth ride, so the engine must be good. We keep up with oil changes.
I paid a $100 deductible for each item, and the warranty paid the rest. It has run out now, and I am holding my breath.
I am seriously thinking of getting another car before something major goes wrong.
