1992 Chevrolet Blazer Sport FULL SIZE review from North America
"Its the true Heartbeat of America.."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At 225000 miles wiring harness fusible link was replaced.
At 230000 miles the universal joints were replaced.
General comments?
This is the only vehicle I feel comfortable with high miles to drive just about anywhere. It gets normal tune ups has upgraded K&N air filter, as well as flow master single exhaust. This truck has towed a loaded car trailer almost everyday since I have owned it. It doesn't burn a drop of oil. I use only Castrol drive hard 10-40 in winter and 20-50 in summer. I have the transmission serviced every 15000 miles. It just goes to show what normal maintenance does for a vehicle.I'm a true believer in changing the oil every 3000 miles and sometimes sooner depending on how hard I drive it. Also tire presure is a big concern. I made it 90,000 miles with PEPBOYS futura brand dakota series tires. It has the original engine and transmission.
