General comments?
First my egr valve went out, I replaced it and it went out again, so I didn't replace it. Then the rear seatbelt on the driver's side locked up while it was fully extended, making it completely unusable. The brakes went out and I had to have them replaced. The catalytic converter went bad and tore up my muffler, so I got them both replaced. When I realized that the fuse for my rear window release was missing I replaced it and found that the previous owners had pulled it because it had a nasty habit of popping open when driving on the freeway. Then my freeze plugs went out. Now these are parts that cost 5 bucks a piece. Two of the four went out and unfortunately for me they were the two on the top rear of the engine, meaning that to replace $10 worth of parts, I had to pay labor for the mechanic to pull the entire engine out. Apparently it is common for Blazers to build up sediment in the cooling system, which then causes an electrical charge to build and eat away at the freeze plugs. Since two of the four are inaccessible while the engine is in the vehicle you have to pay for the engine to be pulled and the plugs replaced. While putting it back in it was discovered that my alternator was bad and needed replacing. Two weeks after all of this, my new radiator started leaking. The mechanic said he wouldn't guarantee his work because of the sediment that had been in the coolant system and that if I wanted it fixed it would cost me another big chunk of cash. I let it sit in my driveway until the repo guys came and took it as part of my bankruptcy.
