1998 Chevrolet Blazer 4 DR LT review from North America

The windsheild wipers have a mind of their own, and need a new motor.

The waterpump went out at 85000 miles.

The passengers side seat handle broke sometime before I bought the truck.

Alternator went out at 90000 miles.

Replaces the cat and muffler at 104k miles.

This is probably the best vehicle I have ever owned with the exception of the few problems I've had with it. I love the way it drives, very comfortable, and the creature comforts are very nice. I especially love the automatic climate control.

I also love the push-button 4WD which has always worked very well.

The engine and trasmission on this truck have been totally solid, and the vehicle starts very easily every time.

As for fuel economy it's much better that may Tahoe was, I average about 23mpg on the highway @ 70mph and around 16 driving around the city.

The interior of the vehicle has held together quite well, and the leather seats look great with only minor wear for the mileage. I have noticed some rattles/loose molding that I need to address soon.

I also must say that I take very good care of this truck and I do all the maintaince myself at the required intervals.

Another great thing about the truck is the fact that parts are very easy to find at any of the local Pepboys, Advance Auto, etc. and are at a discounted price over the AC/Delco parts so doing work on the truck is very affordable if you're willing and able to do the work yourself.

The care I have given this vehicle in my opinion is one of the reasons it performs so well. It is clear that the prior owner of the truck also took very good care of it, as it was in excellent condition when I bought it at 80k miles.
