1999 Chevrolet Blazer LT review from North America
"We must have gotten a good one.."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission broke @ 85000 miles
Fuel pump quit @ 160000 miles
alternator quit @ 110000 miles
drivers seat stitching failed @ 90000 miles.
General comments?
We've had great luck with this vehicle. The transmission gave out after we had a service done on it so I blame the mechanic for the eventual failure. We have 90000 miles+ on a used transmission that had 70k miles on it when we got it. That was a $1600. job. The fuel pump gave out, but that was due-a good thing because the fuel gauge had gone out 2 years ago, and not it works again. Same is true for the alternator-figure it gave us all the life it was expected to. I will do the from bearings myself for $175/ea. With this many miles on it we are going to suck up the maintenance bills because it's paid for and still cheaper than buying anything else. We still like the vehicle (4WD)
