1998 Chevrolet Blazer lt review from North America
"Take care of it, and it will run forever"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing major till 115,000 would not go in reverse. Probably from parking down a steep hill without the e-brake on. Let it slide for a few weeks got the tranny rebuilt for $1900.
General comments?
Great on highway and off.
Decent mileage.
Starts every time even in humid/frigid upstate NY temps. As well as cold, dry, snowy CO mtns at 10,000 feet everyday.
Great size truck, handles a little wobbly, but it's fun.
Very few problems with vehicle as I have been the only owner since 1998 and put 130000 tough miles on it (cross country highway trips, mtn roads, jeep trails, extreme temperatures)
