Nothing much has gone wrong with the car except that the alarm system seems to be very weak. It does not like frequent weather changes around freezing point. In such weather the alarm system has a mind of its own and has gone off several times with horn honking and lights blinking. Does anyone know how to deal with this, how to really fix this?
In 4WD it is very hard to make a U-turn. Seems like the car is breaking hard when making full or near full turn.
Brake discs are made of a material that easily rusts, so if you don't move the car for a month or so, at least in humid condition, you will get a very uneven braking.
The Blazer is a very comfortable vehicle for a SUV. It is smooth and quiet. However the mirrors tend to block the view too much. But they are good to reverse by.
The standard seats are among the best seats my back has ever experienced.
My 2001 has alarm issues too but if you lock the doors manually, without using the remote or the power door lock button the alarm does not set and therefore does not go off in the middle of the night and wake the neighbors. Mine has 140,000 miles and is still a great vehicle other than the alarm.
