2000 Chevrolet Blazer review from North America
"Worst made vehicle I've ever owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Wheel hubs and bearings, upper and lower ball joints ball joints replaced 3 times already. No OEM parts that are better quality available. $1000 each time for parts, not including my time and labor.
Gas gauge became erratic at 35000 miles. Replacement fuel sending unit costs $350, plus time and labor.
Seat handles both broken off. gotta live without em. Its pot metal that breaks off, and you have to replace with same crap.
Heater core gone at 50000 miles. Wouldn't you know, just after warranty expires.
General comments?
The worst car I've ever owned. I've always been a huge Chevy fan, but no longer. I can't believe the poor craftsmanship in these vehicles. Chevy has been no help on any of the problems. While I can understand normal wear and tear, I do regular maintenance on my truck, to no avail. The parts just keep failing. My last set of wheel hubs lasted 13 months. Of course, 1 month after the parts warranty expired. Had to buy new tires AGAIN because of the faulty wheel hubs.
All my problems should have been factory recalls. Just goes to show that you don't get the quality you pay for anymore on American vehicles. I am ready to buy a new vehicle and dump this hunk, and I WILL NOT look at a Chevy. I've been pumping over a grand each year into repairs on this pile already. I'd like to drive it into a river or off a cliff.
