Battery at 80k miles.
Tuneup req'd at 80k miles.
Rear window makes awful squeaking and has since about 30k miles.
Interior rattles are annoying and have grown since about 50k miles.
Clutch at 120k miles.
Catalytic Converter at 125k miles and now another at 165k.
That's all that's gone wrong with it in 160k miles. With all of the awful reviews, I figured I'd post a good one.
Except for the noises of the rear window and the interior, it's been great. I'm having problems towing my 6,000 pound enclosed trailer -- I'm burning then up, I suspect the O2 sensor and that I'm running even more rich due to the large trailer load.
Not having an automatic transmission is probably why you have avoided the most expensive repair issues.
I just purchased a 2000 Chevy Blazer LS from a local car lot. So far I am happy. I was treated with respect and kindness. I was NEVER pressured AND all my questions were answered to my satisfaction. I have also owned a 1997 Blazer LS. Regarding O2 sensors... I have had to replace quite a few and in my experiance, it seems to happen in most (if not all) makes and models. Foreign & Domestic vehicles just the same. Again, I'm speaking only of my personal adventures with vehicles. I love my Blazer and look at replacing O2 sensor (s) as part of one of the routine repairs. IT COULD BE WORSE!
