"Best truck in Texas in 1994"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The only repairs I have had to do is replace the water pump at 107,000 and the egr valve at 112,000 other than that not one part has had to be replaced in the 10 years I have had the truck. I love the truck and will never sell it. It has that timeless look of perfection. And yes, Chevrolet did make a Vortec v6 in 1994. I own a 1994 Chevrolet extended cab pickup with a factory installed VORTEC V6. It is all original except for the stereo. Who ever says Chevy didn't make a Vortec in 94 is not a fan of chevy, because if they were they would know that 93' was the debut of the vortec family. This will last forever and will always be part of the family.

General comments?

Vortec V6 were manufactured by GM in 1994. Don't make a comment unless you can reference it will proper documentation.

The Vortec V6 is kick ass.

I have a 1994 Chevy short-bed with a 4.3 Vortec V6 with just over 225,000 miles and still running strong. I am the 3rd owner and have only had to have to deal with the basic tune up changes. This truck has served me well and I now have a baby on the way that I hope to give to my son some day. To sum it up, my short-bed vortec V6 is one dependable truck. Also, this is the first V6 out of the 6 chevy trucks that I have owned, and I love it!

I have a 1994 Silverado that I put a 350 Horsepower Vortec crate motor in. It has a high-flow TBI with a performance chip, a cold air intake and a helix TBI spacer. I'm running a flowmaster exhaust and I recently went over 150,000 miles on the truck. I will never get rid of this truck. Ilove it!

The vortec version of the 4.3 (which is multi-port fuel injection) started production in the early 90's, but they did not switch them to multi port fuel injection until late 1995 early 1996, research it yourself on wikipedia or better yet

The 1994 VORTEC didn't have MPI, it is a throttle body injected model. Fuel injection has nothing to do with an engine being VORTEC or not; It has to do with the heads and the manifolds.
