1994 Chevrolet C1500 W/T review from North America
"A truck that will be with you for many decades"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear differential gasket had to be replaced do too bad leaking.
My rear bumper needs to be replaced due to bad rust.
The 4 speed Automatic Transmission didn't shift correctly and often (clunked) when down-shifting. I fixed it by changing the Transmission Fluid.
General comments?
I purchased my 1500 W/T (Work Truck) in December of 2004. Since then I have been very pleased with it.
The 4.3L V-6 has proved to live up to it's good reputation. It's power and torque would fool you for a V-8!
I don't enjoy the radios in the 1988-94 Chevy Trucks because they are a pain when you want to install a CD player due to their size and location. I had to leave the stock radio were it was and put the CD player in a different spot.
If you buy a Chevy 1500 that came with the V-6, I recommend putting dual exhaust on it. Trust me, it will be mistaken for a big V-8!
Over all my pick-up has not given me any unexpected problems. I am concerned however about the body rust.
