1991 Chevrolet Camaro RS review from North America

Well, first off to start off saying. I bought the car from a friend and it had been sitting for 6 years. So I was in for a "fixer-upper" type car. I towed it home from his house to mine and began working on it, and changed the fuel pump, and after 6 years fired up and ran smooth right away. The water pump was leaking and check engine lgiht was broken.

I replaced the water pump, hoses and thermostat, all vaccuum lines, radiator cap, coolant temp sensor, changed oil, and filter, tires, and exhaust. Went down and passed california smog, and been driving it ever since. Runs great.

The interior is okay, dash pad probably cracked after the original owner too kit home, along with the center console lid, seats tear on the sides from getting in and out easy, headliner sags, but that's an easy fix. Tilt column always gets loose on these f-bodys. weather stripping is toast with t-tops.Stock Gm paint is crap (duh).

The car's performace of the 305 TBI is OK, it beats those crappy imports all day long, but I'm looking to upgrade when and if this engine ever goes.

Car handles great, jams through canyon roads and scares passengers. Can be rather sketchy in the rain, you just have to not be a ricky racer and gun it in the rain.
