1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 review from North America

"A lot of bang for your buck, and a body style that will never get old"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The problems I've had were costly, but I would say reasonable for the year and mileage. I've had to replace the engine mount once.

I also needed the window motor for the driver side, and now the passenger side is going to need some work soon.

I also needed to replace the headlights twice, a lot sooner than expected or than my 1998 Camaro needed them replaced.

I also need new shocks, but that's all just maintenance, things can't last forever.

The interior is in great condition, the engine is super clean. I have kept my car entirely stock.

The previous owner was the first owner, she kept it stock (yes a girl, I'm a girl too!).

It had always been garaged until I took it. The paint has worn on the roof, but other than that the exterior is in good condition. I am very surprised at the rest of the paint on the car, it looks good and shines like new after a good waxing.

I think a lot of people who do have problems with this year and model, it might be due to previous owners running the car too hard without the proper knowledge for car and correct parts. Also they might have made too many modifications and something probably just isn't working right.

General comments?

I love this car!

I feel completely safe in this car.

I once spun out on the freeway due to debris on the road. I seriously think I would have been dead in any other car. But with the handling and suspension I was able to gain control again during my spin out and safely pull over. I was shocked at the treadmarks left behind... they went straight across to the side of the road, but I swear I felt myself spin... must have been the shock. Anyway point is this car handled so great, I feel safe in it and while I have had close calls it has pulled me out without a scratch on me or it.

Even though it's an older car, the body is beautiful, even though it's large it still has that sleek and agile look to it.

A lot of bang for your buck.

I don't think I will ever be able to become accustomed to driving anything else... what to do when I have kids!!?? :)
