2000 Chevrolet Camaro SS review from North America
"Lots of power for price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The drivers side window had problems which cost $150 to fix.
The rear hatch is sometimes difficult to open.
General comments?
This is a very nice car with lots of power. It is not a type of car you would want to drive on ice or snow, which I have done a few times, in which you can't go over 30 without spinning all over. (NOT WINTER CAR) I once couldn't get into a car wash because you had to drive over a big bump with the front wheels and the rear wheels had no traction on the wet metal floor so I had to back up and go pretty quickly then slam on the brakes after getting over the bump. Also, I got stuck after digging myself a foot into solid gravel backing up a non paved hill over a ditch and had to have a truck pull me out. Overall, it's not a winter car, or made to go on unpaved roads. But in the summer it is a great car with lots of power, good handling, very quick acceleration. Its is a very fun car to drive, especially with the T-tops off. The rear seats may seem small, but I have fit two very large guys in the back two seats and had room for a bass guitar and amp in the trunk. It is the type of car you garage in the winter, which I do, but the fact that it is so fun to drive I keep it out longer than I should, and find out why rear wheel drive and big tires don't work with snow. Overall It is a muscle car that handles pretty well, with very few problems that I would recommend to anyone living in a warm climate, or have a second car or truck to get you around in the winter.
