"Poor mans corvette (and better looking!)"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Alternator (140,000 miles)

Fuel Pump (140,000 miles)

replaced exhaust with fuel pump

hoses

belts

interior in great shape

Headliner sags a little

rear hatch gear.

General comments?

Of all the cars I have ever driven, this one is the most fun. I like it more than newer corvettes, and I kill older, and newer mustangs. shifts awesome all the time, always starts right up.

I just sold a 1986 Corvette and bought a 1986 Iroc-Z 305 and a 1987 Iroc-Z 350 TPI. The 1987 is an extremely strong car particularly thru the first and second gear shift. Had bad transmission when purchased and is the only difficult thing to work on this car. The 700R4 is not particularly my favorite of GM's transmissions. Headliner is sagging, hatch gear bad, seat belts won't retract. The interior otherwise is in good condition. Surprisingly, there are no cracks in the dash or console. Starts right up! 3" Flowmasters & T-Tops don't leak. Handles just as well as the Corvette and just as fun to drive!
