Yup, they do! my 99' Crown Vic only ever got 22 mpg highway downhill with a tailwind and no traffic, and my 00' z28 gets usually 24-26 highway going through toronto, where its difficult to maintain a constant speed. pretty impressive as my crown vic was not much heavier and had 1/2 of the power.
I have the LS1 in my C5 Vette. The dash read is 16 mpg average with the top down. The Camaro should be similar.
