1979 Chevrolet Caprice Classic review from Ecuador
"The most comfortable car ever"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had to replace all the floor because of the rust (no rust anywhere else)
Alternator carbons had to be replaced and also the battery.
Some cables and the spark plugs, but nothing serious mostly mainteneance.
Actually the car is in very good shape and looks like it is gonna be like that for a very long time.
General comments?
I really love this car, it is so fast considering how big it is, people in the street find hard to believe that a 1979 car can race like that, after I replaced the shocks for some reinforced ones filled with gas instead of hydraulic fluid it became even more comfortable, the interior was completely rebuilt and can´t get any more comfortable, I installed a 5.1 surround sound system that is virtually invisible so it sounds great, but it doesn´t look bad with the interior, the next steep is replacing the seat belts for something safer because I do not trust my life to a 28 years old piece of fabric, but that is just me, anyway I recommend to anyone to try and possibly buy this car you will not regret it.
