1987 Chevrolet Caprice review from North America
"It is the best car I have seen built in the 80's"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The rear mail seal on the engine has bitten the dust at 150,000k, mainly from age.
The fenders have accumulated rust on the inside.
The body had serious rust, so it was repainted, and the gas tank was replaced.
General comments?
It is an ex cop car, so it has a pre-suit package on it, new headers, transmission, and rear end.
The TRUE 5.0L Oldsmobile engine pounds out a whopping 250 HP, and 300 ftlbs of torque. Quarter mile in 16.912 seconds at 122.5 km/h.
This car can take abuse.
