1980 Chevrolet Caprice Landau coupe review from North America
"There is simply nothing else like it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This car has been more than reliable especially when you consider that she is more than 20 years old by now. The speedometer went out at 107,000 miles, but that was a cheap fix. The air conditioning now needs to be re-charged, but that's really about it. Everything else has just been basic maintainence.
General comments?
This car provides a feeling that modern cars all seem to lack. It's a feeling of driving a car with character, as opposed to driving a modern car who's interior parts are the same kind of plastic on your rubbermaid trash can. No, this is not an insipid, cookie-cutter Lumina, or some other junk like that. This is a car for someone who can appreciate older things.
The performance isn't breathtaking, but it's more than adequate to get you into trouble if you want.
Three people can sit up front without anyone touching each other.
Everything about this car is smooth.
