1987 Chevrolet Caprice review from North America
"Cheap to repair and reliable!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Worn timing chain at 220 km. repaired driver's side floor because in Canada in winter they use a lot of salt. starter at 235 km. rear brake cylinder.
General comments?
This car refuse to die since my mother gave it to me when my father passed away in 1997. I was his personal mechanic and always took care of the car even if my father didn't ask many times for help because this car was and still so reliable even in very cold weather. It has the Oldsmobile 307 with Posi-traction differential (a must over here!) and keep running strong even with more than 389,000 km on it.
