1980 Chevrolet Caprice review from UK and Ireland
"Cheap, roomy, rugged, reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alternator failed, causing flat battery. I consider this normal wear and tear.
General comments?
For a 1980 car it is still in remarkably good shape, not having succumbed to the rust in the british climate. fuel consumption from what is by british standards a very big engine (5.0 v8) is surprisingly good, have had 28 mpg
performance is good too, accelerates very well, but suspension is way too soft and wallowy to allow decent handling.
