1977 Chevrolet Caprice Classic review from Netherlands
"Reliable Roomy Rusty old Banger"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fitted new brake pads.
General comments?
LPG tank took up one third of the trunk space.
Always started.
Always got me to my destination.
A bit big to use in Amsterdam.
Sometimes needed to use as a battering ram to push a few other cars together so I could create a suitably large parking space.
Cheap to run on LPG.
Especially if you forget to pay the road tax, which is higher in Holland for LPG cars than petrol only cars.
Range using petrol and gas was very good.
If you pressed the accelerator pedal as far down as it would go when changing over from gas to petrol (or vice-versa, I can't remember) caused very loud BANG which was good for startling other drivers when passing them.
