1990 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 review from North America
"Bad interior but Good fun"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine wise nothing has gone wrong with this vehicle.
Interior wise is a different story...
Headliner is falling out.
Powerlocks are noisy and only work when they want.
The center arm rest fell off.
The top of the dashboard is sun cracked and warped.
Most of the "paint" on the windshield wiper and lights lever are worn out.
Really poor workmanship on everything inside the car. Flimsy buttons and delicate levers.
As of recently the fuel meter has been whacked out not reading the fuel accurately... ANNOYING.
General comments?
This car is a love-hate relationship. The inside comfort isn't the worst of a compact car I've rode in but by far not the best either. The suspension is sport stiff and you'll feel out every bump but rarely jolted. The room on the inside is extremely snug for only two people unless toddlers were placed in the back. The car handles alright and has some peppy performance. The best part has to be the balance between its peppy performance and mpg. I'm surprised by how many things still work in this car for its age yet I'm displeased by things that have broken that shouldn't of been.
