"The greatest fuel efficient American sports car there is"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Seats wear out easy.

Clutch replaced once at 105k miles.

General comments?

These are one of the best cars you can buy for whats it's worth. I have about 150,000 miles on it and never had any problems since I got it.

I have always taken excellent car of this car. The engine, transmission and everything else works beautiful.

If everyone would just take time on their car's and just follow everything in the owners manual, the car will last for a very long time and will also keep the gas mileage up. I get around 30mpg in mine.

You are 100% correct about taking care of your car and following the instructions of the manufacturer (NOT necessarily the DEALER, as they will try to talk you into things the owner's manual does not require).

I'm a mechanic and have owned cars from all domestic makers as well as 3 imports. My family got over 300,000+ miles out of one Ford, 240,000+ miles out of a Dodge and over 270,000 miles out of a Buick (which is still in the family). None of the imports were very reliable and I will not buy another one.

I know guys who have gotten a quarter of a million miles out of the Cavalier. It is one of the best values around in a used compact sporty car. Take care of yours and it will last you a very long time.
